Renowned Brazilian artist Marina Perez Simāo uses a variety of techniques, such as collage, drawing, and oil painting, as starting points in order to marry interior and exterior landscapes.

For the first time ever she has translated the formal language of her oil paintings, inspired by the undulating landscapes of Brazil, into an embroidered tapestry. Each edition comprises of 483,422 stitches and 24, and were crafted and assembled in Lyon – a historic cradle for French textiles.

50 editions of this very special piece - Untitled - will be sold via Avant Arte to benefit GCC and ClientEarth, an Environmental law NGO that uses the power of the law to protect all life on Earth, combining thousands of individual voices into one powerful force for change. The edition will be on display at Art Basel in June 2023.
